Century BMR is  a Brown Midrib premium hybrid sorghum sudangrass with outstanding re-growth and tillering characteristics and is recommended for either hay production or direct pasture grazing. The "Brown Midrib" characteristics of the plant increase the digestibility of the stem and leaves. This fine stem, long leaf hybrid has a reduced lignin content of 40%-60% over conventional sorghum sudangrass hybrids. (depending on environmental and cultural conditions) Because of the increased quality of the "Brown Midrib" trait, growers will see increased gains and/or milk production compared to normal sorghum sudangrass when fed to livestock. The softer leaves and pliable stems make for a more palatable feed.
